On December 17, 2004 Pfizer announced that a government sponsored study on Celebrex's ability to lower cancer risks was stopped after researchers learned that Celebrex's risk of causing a major heart attack was two-and-a-half times greater than the risk for patients taking a placebo. The study indicates that Celebrex's risk of heart attack and stroke as great of not greater than that posed by Vioxx.

If you or a family member have suffered serious side effects or a fatal injury such as a heart attack or stroke after using Celebrex, you or the family member may be eligible to file a claim for damages against the drug manufacturer. Contact The Law Offices of Michael P. Delaney to discuss your legal rights at no cost or obligation.

Celebrex (Celecoxib), the popular pain killer may be linked to increased heart attack and stroke risks. Celebrex is the most prescribed drug for treating arthritis patients. Worldwide sales of Celebrex are about $2.3 billion dollars. The drug is made by Pfizer, the world's largest drug maker.

Celebrex is in the same class of drugs as Vioxx which was withdrawn after studies showed it was too dangerous. These drugs are both Cox 2 Inhibitors, a drug class that many researchers believe interferes with the body's natural ability to reduce blood clots, thereby increasing heart risks. Many doctors believe Celebrex presents the same or similar risks as Vioxx. If that is true, many people who are now taking Celebrex may be at great risk.

Lawyers associated with this web site are actively investigating injury claims on behalf of injured Celebrex users. Our attorneys have represented thousands of people in high profile pharmaceutical claims across the country and are among the national leaders in the Vioxx litigation.
